In 2023, Ruskin, our Dementia Assessment and Treatment Unit in Carlisle, received funding from SHINE for Little Bags of Love.
The bags are gifted to carers/family members when their loved one is admitted on the Ruskin ward. The gift bag contains a selection of items such as chocolate, hand cream and a candle.
We give this to the carer/family member to show that they are amazing, loved in all that they do for their loved one."

Staff on the unit have received positive feedback from carers, saying that the little bag of love made them feel that someone cared about them.
